We run 22 production containers across 6 customer-facing apps on a single VPS. We need a senior platform engineer to take this from “works reliably” to “I would put my reputation on this being up at 3 AM.”
What you will do
- Own the production infrastructure for all 6 customer apps.
- Build out CI/CD pipelines, observability (Prometheus, Loki, or hosted equivalent), and on-call runbooks.
- Harden our security posture for SOC 2 / ISO 27001 readiness.
- Drive the multi-VPS migration when we outgrow the current single-host setup.
What we are looking for
- 4+ years running production workloads on Linux. Docker + Compose is your daily driver. Kubernetes is a tool, not a religion.
- Comfortable with nginx, Let’s Encrypt, Postgres tuning, Redis, S3-compatible object stores.
- You have written runbooks that someone else can actually follow at 3 AM.
- Bonus: experience with healthcare compliance (HIPAA) or financial compliance (PCI-DSS).
